Jon - The group was small but perfectly formed and our return to the Muhib on Brick Lane was most enjoyable.  Decent beer at the Pride of Spitalfields as always and we were very well looked after by the staff.  It's a large traditional menu and I went for a favourite of mine not often seen on menus, a reshmi kebab, followed by a Balti Lamb Vindaloo.  There wasn't too much evidence of any aloo in the vindaloo but it was nicely spiced and the lamb was tender and tasty.  With a pre-arranged discount and a free beer, the final bill was refreshingly low to wonderfully round off a splendid evening.

Mark - Quick chat with the waiter on the way to PoS secured a beer and 20% discount which resulted in a cost of £37 (even though we did try and pay £38!). We were sat in the front window at a round table for 4 rather than crammed in elsewhere and the restaurant was half full. Service prompt and friendly. Pakora starter a bit chicken nugget like but tasty while the Lamb Shank was delightful with lots of tender meat and just missed 10 as could have been a bit more spicy. A lovely relaxed evening.

Richard - A real nostalgia trip - a good Brick Lane curry at a reasonable price for London. Thanks to Mark securing a free beer and discount written on a card before joining us in the sweaty but atmospheric Pride of Spitalfields. When we arrived at The Muhib, the staff were welcoming and reserved a prominent table in the window, unlike the usual spot next to the bogs (did Mark tell them who we were?) and, without hovering all the time, food and drink came at the right time. It was busy and they had tables on the street which looked good. The lamb chop starter could have been char-grilled more for my taste, the main chicken tikka balti had a really tasty sauce, sides, rice and nan good, draft cobra. With any luck we'll be back.

Graeme - Another top meal at Muhib. We were seated in a prime position by the window and received very good service from the friendly staff. As has been the case for many of our recent visits (over the past 6 or 7 years), the food was very good indeed. I had Stuffed Mushrooms to start and Chicken Tikka Vindaloo for main. Jon and I had discussed earlier how we often used to have Vindaloo dishes back in the day so my choice was a nod to that. I found it to be pretty spicy, more so than my current, more garlic based, favourites. The VFM was excellent, helped by El Pres's negotiation of 20% discount off the food and a free pint. Marvellous.
