Jeff - This is at the north side of Brick Lane, and was a bigger place than I remembered, about 3/4 full. The chairs sported those stretchy pull-on covers that you get at some weddings or old peoples' homes. There was draft cobra, so an extra mark for that. The menu featured every dish you could think of, and a few more besides. Food was again of above average quality overall, and portions were large - e.g. 2 large shami kebabs rather than one. Sadly the starter I chose - cashew nut roll - was a little dry. The main, Desi Chicken Kori, came with more kick than I expected and a slightly bitter tasting herb was slightly too strong in the mix, but I still enjoyed it though. Service was quite engaging and a free round of liqueurs was freely provided on request. I'd come back.

Mark - Having started our 20th Anniversary in the ridiculously priced Dirty Dicks that then ran out of 3 beers we moved to The Muhib where I had a mild 'Check In' curry due to flying to NYC the next day (actually it was tandoori chicken). Plentiful but very mild while my starter was very small. Overall I enjoyed the meal and thought service was good and quick enough to allow G and I to just catch our train. The post meal snifter was enjoyable which added to the bonus of having Dom out again.

John - Normal Brick Lane nosh. Nice sheek kebab starter followed by a rather rubbery and spicy chicken shashlick bhuna.

Dominic - Having missed the revisit last year, I was looking forward to this outing to see whether my indifferent first visit was down to bad food choices or not. So as part of the advance party we arrived to a heaving eatery where we were quickly shown to a nice long table away from corners and mirrors. So far so good. But then the "rest of our mob" arrived which meant it was to be akin to eating off the flight tray in the centre seat of "cattle class" once more! For starters I went for the Stuffed Mushrooms but found them very dry with a fairly bland thick coating supposedly representing bread crumbs. I fared much better with my Lamb Tikka Rezala which was quite tasty though not overly spicy (hot). Of the rest the Stuffed Paratha was the pick. Service was generally average all evening despite the venue emptying out as the evening wore on rather than the reverse. But I can never understand how boiled rice is the last dish to be brought out ... is there some secret way to cook it that requires more time than main dishes! Overall, VFM seemed quite high given it was Brick Lane and a discount applied but it was good to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the club with 75% (48% by body mass!) of the "founding fathers"!

Jon - This was a really nice meal.  My starter wasn't all that, could have been a touch warmer, but my main course was excellent.  It was a lamb desi korai that was hot, really tasty with very tender lamb – I very much enjoyed it.  Good night as usual and while it was nice to visit Dirty Dicks on the occasion of the club's 20th anniversary, it's not what it was!

Neil - The 20th Anniversary of the Curry Club with three of the four founding fathers in attendance. For old times sake we met at Dirty Dicks only to find the price of beer somewhat higher than in 2000. Off to the curry house and the service experience was slightly odd, starters took an hour to arrive but the main followed immediately after so we left at a normal time. Food was good though, enjoyed the tandoori paneer starter, chicken dhansak main wasn't too bad either. The grand total of £35 a bit more than millennial prices but the free round of post-meal drinks made up for it.

Graeme - Muhib has become my current favourite 'classic' Brick Lane restaurant. It is a fairly plain place with good food and service and, although the price is maybe a little high(?), it gives good vfm. To start, I had the Reshmi Kebab which was very tasty and filling (which I needed). For main, I chose the Chicken Tikka Pathia - very nice! In recognition of this being our 20th anniversary, we met up in Dirty Dicks - it was good to go back but the upstairs bar has gone up-market and we kept being told off by the staff for standing up and getting in their way.

Brian - Starter of stuffed mushrooms was lovely, as was the fish madras main. I went for the slightly spicier madras, much to the disappointment of Jeff and Graeme, who appear to derive much amusement by predicting the menu choices of other members, and were backing the masala. It had a nice kick, and complimented the fish well. Sundries and veg all good too. A very enjoyable evening.

Tim - There was plenty of space in the restaurant, probably because it was January; by nine o'clock there were only a few people left, apart from us. The table looked reasonably spacious, however on sitting down, I found I was bumping elbows and I ended up eating like on a plane. Cobra and Kingfisher were available, as was red wine at £10 a bottle - good value, easy drinking and fruity, though a bit like drinking Ribena. There were five generous condiments with the poppadoms, and when the starters arrived, a further three, different, sauces were brought out. The starter of Margin kebab was a bit like a Scotch egg, except with lamb instead of pork. The texture of the meat was a bit different, and it was a bit hard on the outside as though it had been deep-fried too long, though the taste was fine. The accompanying basic salad was livened a little by the addition of some fresh coriander. The main of chicken tikka jeera was tasty and of a decent size and the nan and veg were fine. A free round of liqueurs to finish was a nice touch.
