Dave - Very average, chicken tikka starter not a patch on the chilled melon, Dupiaza was very bland. Can't understand how this curry house made the top 6! - love to all, Davie boy!!

John - I liked the Sheraz - a curry house that looks like a pub. For starters I had Tandoori King Prawn which was excellent but minimal (2 prawns for £4 !). For the main course I turned into a woman and had Chicken Tikka Masalla. Very nice. Now explain to me what the offside rule is again.....

Graeme - Sheraz feels like a proper curry house. Good food, ambience, service, etc - a good all-round experience. My main course (Chicken Jalfrezi - no Chicken Madras on the menu) was HOT, and very tasty. Draft Cobra - yum, yum! In many rooms, plastic apples and plums hanging from plastic trailing branches wouldn't really work but here they looked just right - the work of Llewelyn-Bowen, maybe?

Mark - Remember the girls of your youth now middle aged women with kids? This old flame was used to burn my Lamb Tikka starter. Excellent mushroom rice but stingey portion, Chicken Jalfraizi was a pleasant lip burner. Overall another solid performance although not as good as before. "Melons" Griffin drank half's to ensure his abuse quota was met.

Jon - Having been delegated to draw which curry house we visited, I was disappointed to pick one of three I've already been to! Pretty good allround curry although the rice was disappointing. Having sampled both drauight and bottled Cobra, I can confirm that both were of a high standard. I propose that Dave "Half-pint" Griffin's beer score should not be allowed as he didn't drink enough to make a considered judgment. Bit pricy for what was really just above average.

Neil - After the intense AGM, I was in need of a good curry and the Sheraz fitted the bill nicely. Enjoyed J Want giving the waiter a hard time over the difference between bottled (he almost was) and draught Cobra, surprisingly Griff didn't order chilled melon. Being mature adults we would have fully supported his freedom to choose such a dish of course.

Robin - A little disappointing compared with the previous visit. Reasonable starter, chicken and meat balti dish smothered with masalla sauce (although from the menu description it looked as though it was the only balti dish that wasn't, which was why I ordered it), good special rice and veg. We're all looking forward to assisting with the implementation of the AGM decision to remove Griff's melons.

Darryl - A little too heavy on tomato and onion. Amusing after-kick, downright unamusing kick later in the evening/early morning. Toilet had an interesting bidet ... was it a urinal, oh. The service staff disappeared frequently and only appeared when they felt like it. Not sure about the glazed cherries that appeared in one selection. What is the origin of melons?
